Minimum Chips Panel of Judges New Estate

Thursday 16th March Manchester Lane presents three fiercely original local bands who share the endeavour of forging intelligently crafted pop songs. This will be the last show (a send off) for Minimum Chips as lead vocalist Nicole Thibault takes time off for motherhood. The Chips will be playing songs off their recently released album kitchen tea thankyou, which has received much praise in the press for its artful, electronic and dreamy stylings. Panel of Judges will have just returned from their Japan tour promoting their new album no scandal, no future in heaven - this presents the 60s beat, French pop nuance of panel in a succinct and memorable way. New Estate will be playing tunes off their forthcoming album is it real to be released on the US label Kittridge Records. The noise pop masters will transpose their soaring guitar melodies, (often garnering a comparison to My Bloody Valentine before they stopped writing songs) to the emotive grandeur of the grand piano.
